Robey Architecture is a home grown small design firm that respects and is influenced by the rich architectural heritage of San Antonio and the surrounding region. Historically, it has been a distinctly fertile place for architects to offer innovative solutions that respond to unique physical environments and economic restraints. To offer provocative solutions that foster pragmatism, conversation, and a respect for tradition while defining a place in time.

Therefore, our approach is to create an architectural solution that combines a contemporary minimalist composition with inventive uses of materials and to create new constructions or enhance existing "solutions of time" that cultivates the experience of place. Our structures are provocative catalysts for the site they come to inhabit and the persons who come to inhabit them. Through this approach our solutions are cost effective, meeting challenging budget constraints; and supporting the common requirement to achieve sustainability for the benefits of future generations.

As architects with a diverse portfolio of work, we understand and respect the traditional solutions provided by the unparalleled craftsmanship that significant and historical structures embody. And in keeping true to our endeavor of creating a sense of place, we have offered solutions that are in balance with its surrounding context, location, and time. Thus, Robey Architecture is careful to avoid imposing a signature style upon our clients and instead allow the surrounding influences, our experience with minimalist compositions, and inventive uses of materials to help determine a final design. The single most unique characteristic of Robey Architecture is our commitment to create a design that improves the quality of the inhabited space while also improving the quality of the community in which it is built.

Our work is dominated with solutions for the urban environment. Our body of work includes Urban and Site Master Planning, Adaptive Re-Use of existing structures, and new construction of various building types. Our project experience ranges from Hospitality, Commercial, Institutional, Municipal, and Residential (both single and multi-family); to Religious. All requiring solutions unique for the building type to convey an understanding of the special significance each structure has to offer; to the individual user or the contextual surrounding of its location.
