Laura Steele Elementary

A new 1,530 square foot Kitchen addition was designed to up-grade and replace the existing undersize facility. The new addition was constructed between the existing cafeteria and detached mechanical building to create one contiguous building form and create a more efficient plan for the District and staff.

Campus wide renovations included renovation of restrooms, renovation of the Library, creating new Classrooms with the additions of new interior walls systems within the current inefficient original open classroom plan. Upgrades included replacement of all door hardware throughout the campus, replacement of finish flooring material throughout the campus, structural leveling of flooring substrate related to foundation movement, renovation and upgrade to the IT Server room for the campus and the complete renovation of the Fine Art classroom.

Campus site improvement to the campus included a new parking lot and circulation drive, repavement of all exterior asphalt play surfaces, extensive civil re-grading to correct of poor surface drainage/runoff around the existing structures, and a partial roof replacement.
