Houston Street Redevelopment

We worked with Federal Realty Investment Trust to study the 6 block section of Houston Street in downtown San Antonio, Texas. This area has on the east terminus Alamo Plaza and on the west terminus the San Antonio River. The design looked at the revitalization of the existing historic buildings and new infill structures which included a mix of hotels, apartments, offices and ground level retail tenants. We were responsible for the design of all urban design components along Houston Street including 2 new river linkages. Improvements included amenities to improve pedestrian traffic and mass transit integration.
